Nutrition & Diet

The Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics department at Spandan Hospital plays a crucial role in improving the nutritional health and well-being of patients to optimize their clinical management. Utilization of principles of nutrition for promoting good health forms the core of dietetic practice at our hospital.

A dietitian provides care when specific dietary considerations are needed due to illness, injury, or surgery. Diet is an essential & integral part of curative & prevention of health care management. The department is actively committed as an integral part of the patient care services of the hospital. Additionally, special therapeutic diets are planned according to the patient’s clinical conditions. The diet plan is devised after taking inputs from the treating doctors. We provide crucial support to all practices by assessing, monitoring, and optimizing the nutritional status of patients, including those who need intravenous feeding.

The hospital kitchen, run by our staff, serves a well-balanced diet for patients.
