Slow Learner

We provide Remedial programs to slow learners as well as children with a learning disability. 

Remedial education is specialized teaching concept & method for the benefit of children with learning disabilities, Remedial programs are designed to meet the individual learning styles and educational needs of these children.

The school caters to slow learners who are defined as children having IQs between 70 – 80. These children suffer from a variety of perceptual difficulties as well as emotional and behavioral problems. They require a holistic multidisciplinary approach for their management.

 Concept:

 It is based on a strong philosophical foundation of HOLISTIC-PSYCHOEDUCATIONAL APPROACH: SYMPHONY.

This is an innovative approach based on the integration of holistic concepts propounded by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, founder of Homoeopathy & JEAN PIAGET’S concept of CHILD DEVELOPMENT.

Activities:

The curriculum is based on a comprehensive assessment by the multidisciplinary team. Based on overall appreciation, the child is admitted to one of the 3 batches.

  1. Junior
  2. Middle
  3. Senior

Deserving students from the senior batch are integrated later in the NIOS batch. Students who find NIOS difficult are given pre-vocational inputs and further guided for vocational training.

The teaching programme comprises IEP (Individualized Educational Programme) and group programmes. Educational Programme includes:

  1. Expert remedial teaching.
  2. Personal and group Counselling
  3. Regular workshops for parents
  4. Periodic comprehensive psycho-educational and medical evaluation
  5. All students are given Homoeopathic – medications
  6. Regular field visits

Actions Learning:

  • Caters to children who are early school dropouts
  • Age limit: – Upto 14 years
