WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY BY BARVALIA FOUNDATION’S SPANDAN:
M.B. Barvalia Foundation’s Spandan Institute organized a memorable function on 10th October 2014 at its Special School in Ghatkopar (East) to mark World Mental Health Day.
Mr. Michael Siebert, Consul General, Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany was the chief guest of the function. He was accompanied by his gracious wife Dr. Gabriela and daughter Alexandra.
Ms. Lu Yanxia, regional director; SEPCO III (Shandong Electric Power Construction Corporation-China) was Guest of Honor.
Dr. Praful Barvalia Chairman of the Spandan and Shri Sudheendra Kulkarni president, of The Observer Research Foundation Mumbai, were the guides for the function.
Ms. Anita Chitre, Miss Geeta Behera, and Dr. Nitin Kothawade made a presentation of a childhood depression project conducted at Ramabai Ambedhkar Nagar slum area under Dr. Barvalia’s guidance.
Shri Sudheendra Kulkarni said that taking care of such children is not the responsibility of their parents alone. God has entrusted this responsibility to all of us.”
We have conducted the following program for the training of professionals.
- Awareness cum Training Program in disability with mental Retardation for Doctors, Therapists, and parents.
- Awareness Programme for uncivilized behavior in children along with educational difficulties and Behavioral Problems like ADHD, ODD, Disruptive behavior, conduct disorder among children for parents and Teachers.
- Orientation workshop and seminar for Mood disorder and other mental health problems in children for early intervention and further holistic management.
