Breastfeeding awareness campaign week 1 august to 7 august 2015: Govandi and Mankhurd area is malnutrition prone area especially in children due to socio-economic factors. Bottle feeding the child is one of the factors responsible for the poor nutrition of infants and newborns. Working with mothers and myths about breast milk are the major responsible factors for it. In order to create awareness about ‘breastfeeding’ – A complete meal of newborn and infant spandan holistic mother and child care hospital undertook various sessions for lactating mother in the community of Deonar, Govandi, mankhurd area under the guidance of Dr. Rekha Udani (Sr. neonatologist) and Dr. Kamakshi Bhate ( HOD KEM hospital).
